The Wool-Zee Company is an industry leader, delivering accurate, unbiased estimates in a timely manner. Since 1990, Wool-Zee has estimated over 6 million square foot of projects at a total cost exceeding $550 million. The Wool-Zee experience encompasses a variety of project types including new and remodel construction. Project types include churches, colleges, libraries, medical facilities, fire stations, military facilities, power plants, public schools, office buildings, residential, municipal and civil sewer, runway and roadway projects.
Firm Principal
Rory Woolsey has worked in Management and Engineering for the construction industry for 32 years, starting as a construction laborer in Billings, Montana, in 1972. He has since held positions as a field engineer, project manager, MIS manager, testing laboratory manager, estimator, senior editor, designer, structural engineer, and general contractor. He is currently the President of The Wool-Zee Company, Inc., construction consultants.
Mr. Woolsey has also held positions with some of the leaders in the construction industry, such as Bechtel, H.J. Kaiser Constructors, and the R.S. Means Company and has worked on projects ranging from heavy, military, industrial, commercial and residential. He has given over 6,000 classroom hours of instruction nationally to architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers on topics of project management, CPM scheduling, construction estimating, facility maintenance, partnering, and leadership. He is known nationally for his expertise in estimating, job order contracting and project management. As well, Mr. Woolsey is an adjunct professor in leadership and management programs at City University.
Recent accomplishments include estimating, negotiating and construction management of a $7.6 million taxiway installation and runway repairs at NAS Whidbey Island. The project included 6 miles of replaced asphalt shoulders, 7,500 LF of runway crack repair and 7,000 CY of concrete pavement placement. Rory has provided estimates for over 10 million square feet of projects at a cost of over $765 Million.
Mr. Woolsey has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration, with an emphasis in construction project management.
